IEA – Monthly Electricity Statistics

In September 2024, total net electricity production in total OECD was 882.1 TWh, an increase by 1.2% compared to September 2023. 

In the first three quarters of 2024, total net electricity production increased by 2.5% compared to the same period last year.

Fossil fuels contributed 49.6% of total OECD electricity production in September 2024, totalling 437.5 TWh, marking a 3.3% decrease compared to September 2024.
