ZVEI – German electrical and digital industry: Incoming orders still declining

In September 2024, incoming orders in the German electrical and digital industries were still 5.3 percent below their previous year’s figure. 

Domestic orders were 11.1 percent lower in September than last year. Foreign orders, on the other hand, fell by only 1.3 percent. While customers from the euro area ordered 14.9 percent less than in September 2023, orders from business partners outside the common currency area increased by 6.7 percent.
